The Bluesway

Welcome to the Bluesway, a two-part Hallway in the shape of a backwards “L”. Why is it dark blue, you ask? Because that’s what the Pity Kitties like at dusk so they can all come out of hiding in the illumination of black light.

The leader of the clowder is Ambrosia, who has situated herself in the center and keeps an eye out for all who dare enter. She works like an alarm, any strange hissing or that agitated “meeeooOOOOowwwrrrr” cries that they make when their fur stands up on their back alerts me to potential mischievnous. No one knows why Ambrosia is their leader, it’s a house mystery. Maybe because Ambrosia is made with oranges and coconut, which is her fur color?

Her arch-enemy stares at her non-stop at the opposite end of the Hall. You can’t see Miss Holly Golightly of “Breakfast At Tiffany’s” fame, but she’s there. I added her to the ceiling as a special one-time treat for you, my beloved reader. It’s anyone’s guess who would win in a catfight between the two. Perhaps Holly is the real ruler of the Hall, what do you think? Or is she too prissy to fight? Considering she was a Thrift Store find, she sure is loaded with gems and jewels. 

I have added their daylight faces in the next photo along with their names, but don’t bother them…ts. They’ll let you know if you are ever wanted or welcome.

UPDATE!  

This was the first mockup I created, it had the Overlook Motel Theme from the film "The Shining". Then I came up with "The Bluesway" idea and it worked better with my overall vision of what I wanted.
